About Pasadena City Schools Partnership
The Partnership encompasses a wide range of activities under the following program areas: Student Enrichment, Safety, Transportation, Joint Facilities Use and Resource Sharing.
Joint Meetings
The City Council and the Board of Education hold biannual joint meetings in May and November of each year to consider additional projects and programs which may save funds, increase the efficiency of both organizations and/or will benefit the community. The next joint meeting is scheduled for November 18, 2008. The agenda will be posted by 11/14/08.
At their last Joint Meeting on 5/14/08, the Pasadena City Council and the Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education took a bold step to deepen this partnership by appointing a joint staff committee comprised of senior personnel including City Department Directors and School District Chiefs. The 10 regular members of the Committee meet monthly to develop and design projects and program based upon a priority list approved by the City Council and the School Board.
